England’s James Anderson sets new record:
England fast bowler James Anderson has broken yet another record after documenting the largest deliveries in Test cricket history with a pace bowler, 30,020.
Midway through the last afternoon of the second Test against New Zealand at Christchurch, he overtook the prior listing of 30,019 maintained by West Indies good Courtney Walsh who retired in 2001.
Throughout his career, Walsh took 519 wickets in 24.44 while Anderson has 531 dismissals in 27.34.
Anderson is currently fourth on the list of gamers to have bowled the maximum deliveries in Test cricket with all the top three most spinners, headed by Sri Lanka´s Muttiah Muralitharan with 44,039, Anil Kumble with 408,50 at two while Shane Warne with his 407,05 deliveries gets the third place.
In 2015, Anderson became England’s top Test wicket-taker.
England won the five-match ODI series 3-2 from New Zeland and dropped the two-match Test series 1-0.
