YouTube attacker was vegan activist who accused tech firm of discrimination:
YouTube: The girl identified by authorities since the attacker who injure three individuals at YouTube’s headquarters in California was a vegan blogger who enticed the video-sharing support of discriminating against her, based on her profile.
Authorities stated 39-year-old Nasim Najafi Aghdam from San Diego was behind Tuesday’s shooting YouTube’s offices in Silicon Valley, south of San Francisco, in which the firm owned by Alphabet Inc’s Google employs almost 2,000 people.
A guy was in serious condition and two girls were severely wounded in the assault, which ended after Aghdam killed and shot herself.
At the moment there’s absolutely no proof that the shooter knew the sufferers of the that people were especially targeted,” authorities said in a statement.
Aghdam’s online profile reveals she had been a vegan activist who ran a site named NasimeSabz.com, which “Green Breeze” from Persian, where she submitted about Persian civilization and veganism, in addition to long passages critical of YouTube.
A screenshot of a movie posted on Aghnam’s YouTube station before it had been shot down on Tuesday, revealed her whining that “YouTube filtered my stations to stop them from getting perspectives!”
YouTube spokesperson Jessica Mason couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.
